Getting to try the food at Tomorrowland’s Galactic Grill was almost as exciting as getting to try out all the rides. For one thing, the menu was overwhelmingly tempting toward both the light side and the dark. From full on entrees to sweet treats site founder Tee and I tried a little bit of everything.

Our tray was covered in food, I went with the Jedi Order: Grilled Chicken Sandwhich while Tee went for the Cheese 3PO Burger. We were too nervous about the First Order: Specialty Burger  that came in a black dark side bun, seemed super spicy with it’s angus beef/chorizo patty and friend cherry peppers. We also didn’t quite want to make little Dagobah Yoda’s in the bathroom. I did really like the Jedi Order though, as a huge fan of green beans and wasabi mayo which made for a great light meal with a kick. Tee’s Cheese 3Po seemed like a solid classic cheeseburger and you can’t go wrong with that. We also gave the kids meal Blue Milk bread turkey sandwhich a try which was a delightful homage to Aunt Veru’s drink on tatooine and felt like something your fun aunt would make. Kids will love the streaks on their bread.

We took some sips of the flavored lemonades made for the light and dark sides of the force. The light one was a sour apple tinged flavor while the dark side was a strawberry lemonade. If you’re into fruity drinks you’ll love them! Pro-Tip: the castmember shared that mixed together they taste pretty awesome too. They also come with cool light up floatey Star Wars objects, a Millenium Falcon or Death Star.

Our fave part of the taste tests was of course the desserts! We had the Pastry Menace first which was a Darth Maul Pattern eclair with spicy red chocolate drizzle, the milk chocolate filling was very flavorful but with more of a whipped consistency than custard-like. The BB-8 Droid Crisped Rice Treat was almost TOO CUTE to eat because it’s shaped and has an illustration of him. Mixed in with the rice crispies are candy coated chocolate chunks. If you’ve got a mighty sweet tooth that’s the treat for you.

Hands down our fave treat was the Darth By ChocolateThe chocolate parfait treat had layers of the following from bottom to top: red velvet cake, chocolate mousse, chocolate cake, Oreo crumbles, topped with firm chocolate frosting, more crumbles and mousse with a Darth Vader dark chocolate helmet and his red lightsaber. It’s basically a bribe from Vader, that’s like ‘Come to the dark side, we have chocolate.’  We were full Sith by the end of out desserts because it’s THAT GOOD! Honestly, you should buy one to take home too, they’re pretty easy to transport because I guarantee you that even days later you’ll be craving it. I may or may not be eating one as I write this. 😉

Between the Star Wars layovers to the rides, the shopping spots, Launch Bay and the food I really suggest getting an annual pass if you’re a California resident (that is, if you don’t already have one). Trust me there is just too much to get done there in one trip much less see other parts of the parks Be sure to get there early for fast passes and spend the time until your fastpasses activate eating and shopping. That’s the way to go, eat in line even!
